Mirzapur. Vindhyachal police station exposed an active gang involved in theft and snatching. 7 accused including 2 minors were arrested. A pistol, 24 mobile phones, jewelry and a motorcycle were recovered from their possession. The gang used to commit crimes in the district as well as in the surrounding districts. A report A joint police team of Vindhyachal police station, SOG and surveillance cell exposed an active gang involved in theft and snatching incidents. 7 accused involved in criminal incidents were arrested. Two minors were also involved in this gang. Kaushal Singh, a resident of Jagdishpur Mawaiya of Chilh police station area, gave a complaint in Vindhyachal police station. He told that an unknown motorcyclist snatched his sister’s purse and ran away. A case was registered on this. On the basis of informer’s information, evidence collection and electronic surveillance, SP City Nitesh Singh exposed the gang in the police line on Sunday. Among the miscreants caught are Ajay resident Badewara Chaubey, Vikas Verma Gangapur, Vikas Bind Naroiya, Deepak Pandey Kasdhana, all are residents of Thana Jigana. Apart from this, Bharat Soni, resident of Bhadohi Gopiganj was arrested. 24 mobile phones, waist belt, anklets, mangalsutra, jhumkas, 2 pistols and live cartridges, motorcycle were recovered from their possession. The accused told that they used to snatch bags and purses of women sitting in e-rickshaws or autos while traveling on motorcycles. They used to sell the mobiles and jewelry found in them through Bharat Soni and divide the money among themselves.
