Under the guidance of Anand District Collector Shri Praveen Chaudhary, the investigation team of the Assistant Geologist’s office regularly investigates illegal mining, transportation and storage in Anand district. According to Assistant Geologist Shri Mit Parmar, citizens of Anand district can file complaints regarding illegal mineral activities through the “Guj Mine” application. In addition, any citizen who files a complaint can also know the status of the action taken by the authority on the complaint given by him. In addition, the Assistant Geologist’s office of the Mines and Minerals Department investigates complaints regarding unauthorized mining, storage and transportation of minerals and takes action as per the rules. He further said that from May 2025 till now, the Assistant Geologist’s office has conducted random inspections to prevent unauthorized mining, storage and transportation in the mineral-rich areas of Anand district, namely Khanpur, Kherda, Ahima, Seeli, Pratappura, Rajupura, Isarwala, Indranaj, Vasad, Vaniya Kuva, Borsad, Sundalpura, Vasad-Bhetasi, Khorwad and Lalpura. During these inspections, a total of 68 cases involving 46 dumpers, 12 excavator machines, 05 carts and 05 passenger boats have been recovered, amounting to Rs. 1.01 crore. In which 03 machines have been seized from Khorwad village of Umreth taluka, 02 machines from Lalpura village, 01 machine from Sundalpura village, 02 machines from Rajupura village of Anand taluka, 02 machines from Vasad village, 01 machine from Magrol village of Sojitra taluka and 01 from Borsad, making a total of 12 X-sweater machines.
