Asking for money for alcohol proved costly, wife killed husband by beating him with a stick A heart-wrenching incident has come to light on Saturday afternoon in Jungle Bakulha village under Padrauna Kotwali area. Asking for money from wife to drink alcohol proved so costly for a person that he lost his life. The angry wife killed her husband by beating him with a stick. The deceased has been identified as Lalchand. It is being told that on Saturday afternoon Lalchand had asked his wife for money to drink alcohol. There was an argument between the two regarding this matter, which turned into a violent fight. It is alleged that the wife, in a fit of rage, killed Lalchand by hitting him with a stick. On receiving information about the incident, the local police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. The police is seriously investigating the matter. According to the local people, there have been disputes between the couple earlier also, but this time the matter escalated so much that it became life-threatening. Police Inspector Harshvardhan Singh says that the matter is being investigated thoroughly. Interrogation of the accused wife is going on and further action will be taken on the basis of the post-mortem report.
