The meeting of the District Coordination and Grievance Committee was held at Anand Circuit House under the chairmanship of the In-charge Secretary of Anand District, Mr. Mohammad Shahid. In the meeting, the public representatives raised questions regarding the repair of roads, road repairs, approval of dilapidated rooms and new rooms in schools, Anganwadi and Gram Panchayat buildings in the district, as well as the repair of bridges under the Road and Building Department and the newly approved bridges. Accordingly, the In-charge Secretary, Mr. Mohammad Shahid asked the officials of the relevant departments of the district to take immediate action. In addition, he asked the officials of the respective departments to immediately provide the details of the approval process to be obtained at the government level. In addition, the In-charge Secretary added that he emphasized on chlorination of drinking water in Gram Panchayat, Municipal Corporation and Municipal Corporation areas during the rainy season. Apart from this, the Food and Drug Control Department was asked to conduct a thorough inspection of the food items available in the market. He further asked the district health department to take preventive measures to prevent outbreak of diseases like water-borne diseases, jaundice and typhoid during the monsoon season. District Collector Shri Praveen Chaudhary also urged the officers of the concerned department to take immediate action on the issues raised by the public representatives. After the meeting of the District Coordination and Complaints Committee, a meeting of the Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Advisory Committee and a quarterly meeting of the District Monitoring and Review Committee were also held.
