Echoed in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham- Stop using polythene and make Kashi beautiful and clean

Varanasi: During the Kanwar Yatra, lakhs of people travel together, and in such a situation the importance of cleanliness increases even more. With this message, Namami Gange on Saturday raised awareness about cleanliness in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. With placards with cleanliness slogans written on them, Kanwariyas and foreign tourists from Netherlands (Holland) were appealed that maintaining cleanliness not only improves personal health, but also improves public health. An appeal was made not to use single-use polythene, which is harming the environment by increasing dirt in life-giving rivers and cities. Namami Gange Kashi area coordinator and Municipal Corporation’s Swachhata Brand Ambassador Rajesh Shukla said that everyone should understand their responsibility towards cleanliness and fulfill it. People’s thinking towards cleanliness should not be limited to the cleanliness of their house. It is our moral responsibility to keep the society in which we live clean. The environment in which we live has a direct impact on our health. If we live in a clean environment, our health will also be good. If there is dirt around us, mosquitoes and flies breed there. Due to which we get mosquito-borne diseases and our health deteriorates. People should change their thinking towards cleanliness. We should put the garbage coming out of our houses in dustbins instead of throwing it here and there. The main participants in the event were Namami Gange Kashi area coordinator and Municipal Corporation’s Swachhata Brand Ambassador Rajesh Shukla, foreign tourists and hundreds of Kanwariyas.
