Nazia (26 years), a resident of Mohammadpur village of Block Bhitora of Fatehpur district, had called 102 ambulance when she had labour pain. While taking the pregnant woman to the hospital, when the labour pain increased, EMT Urmila Devi parked the ambulance on the side of the road and with her wisdom, got the delivery done safely with the help of the family members, after which the mother and child were safely admitted to the nearest health center Haswa by EMT and pilot Rupesh Kumar. After reaching the health center, the mother’s husband Rakin and the hospital staff praised and thanked the EMT and the pilot. Ashish Kumar, Program Manager of the ambulance operating organization EMRI Green Health Services, said that 102 service is completely free. 102 ambulance takes pregnant women and children up to 2 years from home to the government hospital and also drops them back home. Delivery kit is available in the ambulance for emergency situations. And the ambulance staff is trained for this. Therefore, all 102 ambulances should be used in case of delivery. At the same time, help of ambulance can be taken from 108 ambulance service to go to government hospital in case of any kind of emergency. This service is also completely free.
