Lightning struck a battery shop causing losses worth lakhs

Auraiya. In Tilak Nagar market of Bidhuna town, at around 2 o’clock in the night, lightning struck a battery shop, due to which many walls of the house collapsed and shutters were torn. The explosion was so strong that the shutter of another house about 40 meters away from the shop was also damaged. The loss in this incident is estimated to be around 8 lakh rupees. Kapil Chakraborty’s Kapil Battery Service shop is located in Vikas Shakya’s house in Tilak Nagar Loh Bazar locality of Bidhuna town. Shopkeeper Kapil told on Friday morning that lightning struck the shop at around 2 o’clock in the night. The walls on both sides of the shop collapsed due to the lightning. Also, the shutter got uprooted and collided with Anoop Mishra’s shop about 40 meters away across the road. Due to which his shutter was also damaged. Due to the same explosion, cracks appeared in many places in the house. And the doors of the rooms on the upper floor were broken. Whereas the family of the landlord Vikas Shakya, who was sleeping on the upper floor of the house during the night, is safe. Victim shopkeeper Kapil told about the incident that there has been a loss of about 7-8 lakh rupees including inverter, battery kept in the shop.
