The government’s tree plantation plan failed and the responsible people became ignorant

The Gram Panchayat Secretary had issued a show cause notice to Rozgar Sevak Sobran Singh on July 7 for not getting the tree plantation work done under MNREGA in Mitrasenpur Kahinjari Gram Panchayat in Rasulabad. The notice states that the Rozgar Sevak has not done any work of MNREGA since April 2025. No preparations were made for the massive tree plantation program to be held on July 9. Neither were the plants lifted. The Secretary has alleged that the Rozgar Sevak is neither picking up the phone nor geotagging the works. Due to this, MNREGA workers are upset and are constantly complaining. The higher officials are also angry with this situation. The Rozgar Sevak was asked to give an explanation within 3 days. If a satisfactory answer is not received, action will be taken to stop the honorarium from April to July 2025. A copy of the notice has also been sent to the Block Development Officer and Deputy Commissioner Labor Employment. After the notice, the Gram Rozgar Sevak brought plants from the forest department and kept them in the garbage house built in the village itself and planted some plants near the garbage house and took photos to fulfill the formality. In such a situation, the villagers told on the condition of anonymity that the garbage house built at the cost of lakhs of rupees is not able to operate. There are large heaps of cow dung near the garbage house. The plants brought in the name of plantation have been kept in the garbage house, which are drying up. The government’s tree plantation scheme seems to be dying due to the negligence of the responsible people in Mitrasen Pur Kahinjari village. After the officials issued the notice, the Gram Rozgar Sevak shied away by fulfilling the formality. And the responsible officials are pretending to be unaware. Gram Pradhan Vimal Yadav said that the matter is not in his cognizance. The matter of negligence in the tree plantation scheme by the employment servant had come to light where the Gram Secretary had issued a notice on July 7 and sought clarification. He kept quiet on the information of the garbage house not being operated and the plants kept there.
