There was a stir on Thursday evening in the incomplete petrol tank complex located in Khajuria village of Nebua Naurangia police station area when the administrative team raided and caught two persons red handed while openly selling diesel from an illegal browser tank. This action was taken at around eight in the evening. According to the information, the weights and measures department and the supply department had received information about illegal sale of diesel from a browser tank of two thousand liters capacity in this incomplete tank complex operated on Padrauna-Paniyahwa road near Khajuria village. Acting on the information, weights and measures officer Jitendra Pandey and in-charge district supply officer Praveen Kumar reached the spot with their team. When documents related to diesel sale were sought from the employees present on the spot, Nripendra Rai and Jitendra Kushwaha, they could not present any valid documents. On this, the officials showed promptness and seized about two hundred liters of diesel present in the browser tank, in which about two hundred liters of diesel was found and handed over to the police. Also, a complaint has been lodged in the concerned police station. During this, Supply Inspector Khadda Amarjeet Verma, Supply Inspector Ratnesh Kumar Gautam, SSI Pramod Gautam, SI Sandeep Yadav, Girjesh Yadav, Constable Sandeep Kumar Yadav, Parvesh Kumar, Manoj Singh etc. were present in the investigation team. Weight and measurement officer Jitendra Pandey said that diesel was being sold openly from the browser tank standing in the incomplete premises of the petrol pump, which is completely illegal. No valid documents were shown by the employees during the investigation, on which immediate action was taken and the diesel was seized and the tank was handed over to the police. A complaint letter against the accused has also been submitted to the police station. Further legal action will be taken on Friday. This action has created panic in the area, while the general public has appreciated the administrative strictness. The officials have clearly warned that similar strict action will continue in future against those selling petroleum products illegally in the district.
