‘Election Commission has now become BJP’s ‘election theft branch”: Rahul Gandhi attacks on Bihar voter list issue

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday accused the Election Commission of supporting the BJP in the vote theft taking place in Bihar as part of the SIR (Special Intensive Revision-Revision of Voters’ List). He claimed that the Election Commission is working as the ‘election theft branch’ of the BJP. Rahul Gandhi posted on social media platform X that, “The Election Commission has been caught red-handed stealing votes in the name of SIR in Bihar. The name is SIR and the work is theft. FIRs are being registered against those who are exposing it. He also questioned whether the Election Commission is now just the Election Commission or has it become the election theft branch of the BJP? This is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has made allegations against the Election Commission, but many times before. In the Maharashtra elections too, he had raised questions about the transparency of the Election Commission.
