Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar this year. Before the elections, the Nitish government has given a big relief to the electricity consumers of the state. 125 units of free electricity have been announced in Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given information about this on his official account X. The Chief Minister wrote on X, ‘We have been generating electricity at cheap rates since the beginning. Now we have decided that from August 1, 2025, after taking the consent of all the domestic consumers of the state, they will be given the benefit by installing solar power plants on the roofs of their houses or in nearby public places. Under the Kutir Jyoti Yojana, the state government will bear the entire cost of setting up solar power plants for extremely poor families and will also provide adequate support for the remaining amount. Due to which, domestic consumers will not have to spend any money on electricity up to 125 units. According to an estimate, up to 10 thousand megawatts of solar energy will be available in the state in the next three years. It may be noted that on Wednesday too, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had given an important instruction. Giving information about this on his social media platform X, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, ‘We have asked the Education Department to immediately calculate the vacancies of teachers in government schools and take action to conduct TRE 4 examination soon for appointment in this regard. The state government has already made it clear that only women residents of Bihar will get the benefit of 35 percent reservation for women in the recruitment process.’
