Kanpur, The campaign against school vehicles run by the enforcement department of the divisional transport department has ended. In this campaign, the enforcement department took action against 168 school vehicles in Kanpur city. While 25 vehicles were seized. The schools to which notices were sent are also now engaged in getting the documents of their vehicles completed. Kanpur division’s RTO enforcement Rahul Srivastava said that in the districts of Kanpur division, which include Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Auraiya, Farrukhabad, Etawah and Kannauj. He said that with the aim of reducing road accidents, the UP Transport Commissioner had issued guidelines, in which a campaign was run by the RTO enforcement department against school vehicles from July 1 to July 15, 2025. RTO Enforcement Srivastava said that 3679 school vehicles including buses and vans are registered in Kanpur division. Out of these vehicles 2885 vehicles were checked in which 440 were challaned and 99 vehicles were seized. 875 vehicles are registered in Kanpur city alone in which maximum enforcement action was taken in Kanpur city. In this action 168 vehicles were challaned while 25 vehicles were seized. He told that even though the fortnight campaign has ended but the campaign against vehicles running without complete papers will continue. District wise challan details RTO Enforcement Rahul Shrivastava told that under Kanpur division 168 vehicles were challaned in Kanpur city, 75 vehicles in Kanpur countryside, 47 vehicles in Farrukhabad, 26 vehicles in Kannauj, 51 vehicles in Etawah and 73 vehicles in Auraiya. Among these districts Kanpur city has been at the forefront in taking action.
