The journey of devotees immersed in devotion in the month of Sawan turned into a painful accident. A tempo full of devotees returning from Paniyhava Narayani river with water and a speeding bike collided near Laxmipur intersection. Eight people were injured in the accident, out of which four are in critical condition. They are being treated in the district hospital. Half a dozen devotees of Barwa Mahadeva area of Ramkola police station area had gone to Paniyhava Narayani river for Jalabhishek. After filling water, when they were returning in the afternoon by tempo, an uncontrolled bike hit the tempo near Laxmipur intersection on Padrauna-Paniyhava road in Nebua Naurangiya police station area. The collision was so strong that the tempo overturned in a ditch on the side of the road. In this accident, tempo riders Sintu (21), Sheshnath (19), Golu (15), Chandrapal (30), Tasi (70), Ankush (15) and bike riders Chakrapal and Joshi, residents of Lakshmipur of Khadda police station, were injured. Some suffered fractures in their hands, while others suffered deep injuries in the back, head or leg. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and with the help of local people, all the injured were taken to Nebua Naurangia Community Health Center by ambulance. After first aid there, four seriously injured were referred to the district hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. This accident on this route of sacred sentiment and devotion of Shravan has shocked the entire area. The local administration has appealed to the people to exercise restraint and travel carefully.
