Despite the government’s resolution and rules that school teachers cannot provide private tuition, a written complaint was recently submitted to the Ahmedabad city and rural DEO offices that many school teachers are going to private tuition classes and giving tuition. Following which an investigation was started and after the investigation, 16 teachers of various private schools were found to be providing tuition, their resignations were accepted and they were dismissed. After the complaint was submitted to the Ahmedabad city and rural DEO offices, the rural DEO issued a circular to all schools to investigate the teachers providing tuition and if the teachers are found guilty, the schools will be held responsible and in the case of granted schools, the grant will be cut. A written complaint was submitted by the Federation of Academic Associations that despite the ban on school teachers providing private tuition, many school teachers are providing tuition outside. In addition, a list with the names of the schools and their teachers was also provided. After that, schools and DEO offices also conducted an investigation. In which a total of 16 teachers, including five from Ahmedabad city schools and 11 from rural schools, were caught giving tuition and their resignations were accepted. Investigations were conducted by S.S. Divine, Ambika, Tirupati, Swaminarayan, Super and K.R. Rawal schools under the rural DEO. The administrators of these schools have resigned. While five teachers, including Arjun English School in Sabarmati, 1 from Mission School in Ranpi, 1 from Mahavir High School in Isanpur and 1 from Divine Birds School in Maninagar, under the city DEO, were found giving tuition and their resignations were accepted. However, the federation gave the names of more than 40 teachers. In which the names of the teachers of the schools and the teachers of the coaching classes were similar, a list was given with the names of the teachers and the names of the schools and the names of the classes. According to the federation, there are also many teachers of granted schools. So far, the resignations of the teachers of private schools have been taken, but now they will investigate further and see whether action will be taken against the teachers of the granted schools or whether the teachers of private schools will be satisfied by releasing them.
