In April, the US announced a 26% reciprocal tariff on India, which is half of the 52% tariff imposed by India on the US. Trump called it a ‘discount tariff’ for India. But now, according to a Bloomberg report, the US government has announced a 50% tariff on countries like Brazil and Myanmar and a 20% tariff on Vietnam and the Philippines. But it seems that India will not have to face the same tariff hikes imposed on countries like Brazil, Laos and Myanmar.
