After more than 100 students living in the girls’ hostel of M.S. University got food poisoning, a team of food safety officers of the food branch of the health department of Vadodara Municipal Corporation took a total of 32 samples of food, raw materials and water from the canteen kitchen of the hostel for testing. These students had eaten paneer vegetables, kheer, roti, dal, rice etc. at night. Apart from food, the officers took 26 samples of raw materials dal, rice, pulses, pickle, paneer etc. While six samples were taken from the tank from which the water was coming. All these samples have been sent to the Public Health Laboratory for analysis. While a notice was also issued to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
