The 45-year-old Gambhira Bridge on the Mahisagar River, connecting Central Gujarat to Saurashtra, collapsed early this morning (July 9). In this incident, four vehicles including two trucks and a Bolero jeep passing over the bridge fell into the Mahisagar River flowing on both banks. Two people died in this. While 3 people were rescued. When this incident happened, a crowd of people from the surrounding villages including Mujpur gathered at the spot. Along with this, the Padra police also rushed to the spot and took action. It is worth mentioning that the collapse of this bridge, which is infamous as a suicide point, has cut off the connection between Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch and Ankleshwar. As soon as the people of Mujpur village learned that the Gambhira Bridge, which had been dilapidated for many years, had broken, they rushed to the scene for rescue operations and rescued three people by jumping out of vehicles stuck in the Mahisagar River and waving their hands in the flowing water.
