‘Bharat Bandh’ announced on July 9: 25 crore employees raise their hands, threaten to keep banks and post offices closed]

10 central trade unions of the country have jointly announced Bharat Bandh on July 9, 2025. More than 25 crore employees of important sectors like banking, coal mining, post office, insurance companies and transport will join in this. This bandh has been announced to protest the ‘pro-corporate, anti-labor and anti-farmer’ policies of the government. However, schools, colleges and private offices will remain open, but due to the protests, traffic problems may arise at many places. Banks and Insurance: Employees of public sector banks and insurance companies will be on strike, which may affect transactions and cheque clearance. There has been no separate announcement of services being closed tomorrow by bank unions. But the organizers of the strike say that employees of public sector and cooperative banks are involved in it. So they will observe the bandh.
