Another stampede in Bageshwar Dham: One dead, 11 injured as Dharamshala wall collapses

Bageshwar Dham Accident: A woman devotee from Uttar Pradesh died and 11 people were injured in Bageshwar Dham on Tuesday (July 8) morning when a wall of a Dharamshala collapsed. The local police and administration reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital and started investigating the matter. Moreover, earlier on July 3, an elder died after a tent in the Dham premises collapsed. Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, the Peethadhishwar of Bageshwar Dham, appealed to all devotees to stay at home on Guru Purnima. The family of the injured narrated the incident The family of the injured said that they were sleeping in the Dharamshala when the wall suddenly fell on them. Officials said that the reasons for the wall collapse are being investigated. The condition of the injured is currently stable and their treatment has started. They also said that compensation will be given to the family of the deceased.
