There has been a dispute between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand over the division of government assets and liabilities for years. Many issues have been resolved through repeated meetings. While Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami are scheduled to meet to resolve the remaining issues. In fact, another state was established in the country on November 9, 2000. At that time, Uttarakhand was a city of Uttar Pradesh, which was separated and declared a state. Since then, there has been a dispute between the two states over the division of government assets and liabilities (such as debts, liabilities, arrears related to government departments, etc.). Many of these issues have been resolved, although some issues are still being discussed. Now the Chief Ministers of both the states are scheduled to meet to resolve the remaining issues. Before meeting Chief Minister Yogi, Chief Minister Dhami held a meeting and reviewed the issue of โdivision of government assets and liabilitiesโ of both the states. In the meeting, Dhami instructed the officials, “A meeting should be held with the officials of Uttar Pradesh to discuss the progress of the work on the issue on which both the states had agreed in the previous meeting and a solution should be found soon.” Dhami will soon meet Yogi on this issue.
