The National Statistics Office (NSO) revised the industrial production rate for April to 2.6 percent. Last month, the industrial production rate for April was estimated to be 2.7 percent. According to NSO data, the production growth rate in the manufacturing sector has fallen to 2.6 percent in May this year. It was 5.1 percent in the same month a year ago. While mining production has seen a decline of 0.1 percent. While a year ago it had seen a growth of 6.6 percent. Electricity production has seen a decline of 5.8 percent, while a year ago it had seen a growth of 13.7 percent in the same period. During the April-May period of the financial year 2025-26, industrial production has seen a growth of 1.8 percent on an annual basis.
