Lord Jagannath will leave for the city procession in Ahmedabad on Friday (June 27). However, like every year before this, this year too, Lord Jagannath’s Netrotsav ceremony will be held. Today, the three siblings will be blindfolded, which will be opened during Mangala Aarti before the arrival of the Ashathi Bij Yatra. According to tradition, the three siblings who return home from the monsoon are blindfolded. In addition to the trustees of the committee, saints and mahants will be present in this ceremony. In this Netrotsav ceremony, Lord Jagannath will return to his temple from his maternal uncle’s house. Apart from this, there will be a flag hoisting ceremony in the temple. Union Minister CR Patil, Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi, Mayor Pratibha Jain will be present. Apart from this, Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel, Balwantsinh Rajput and former Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel will also be present.
