Megharaja to rock South Gujarat: Red alert in two districts, Orange alert in 8 districts

Gujarat has been witnessing heavy rains for the last two weeks. However, on Monday too, the mercy of the Meghraja was seen across the state. Surat received 13 inches of rain in 24 hours from 6 am yesterday to 6 am, resulting in a water-bombing situation. Heavy rain was witnessed in many places in South Gujarat. Due to which many roads in Tapi district were closed. A red alert has been issued in Surat and Bharuch till 1 pm today. On Monday (June 23), Surat received more than 13 inches of rain in 24 hours, resulting in a water-bombing situation in Surat. Due to which people going to work and business in the early morning are facing great hardship. According to the information received, Surat received heavy rains on Monday (June 23). Many places in Surat district were flooded due to nine and a half inches of rain. Many vehicles were stopped due to the waterlogging on the roads. Apart from this, seven inches of rain also fell in Kamrej. While a flood-like situation was created in the Shetrunji-Sataldi river of Amreli. Tapi and Surat in South Gujarat are still in a waterlogged state due to yesterday’s rain. Due to the heavy rains in Tapi district and its uplands, the local rivers of Tapi district have overflowed their banks. Apart from this, all the waterfalls have also started flowing.
