Power supply disrupted in 30 villages of Lakhpat due to moderate rains

Electricity scams start as soon as the rain starts: People are troubled as power supply is disrupted for hours: Dayapar PGVCL officials got mobiles Munga: Repairs of Nani Cher and Seyot sub stations will continue till evening Bhuj: As if light rain and electricity scams complement each other in Lakhpat taluka on the border of Kutch, electricity supply was disrupted in about 30 villages as usual as soon as normal rains started in Lakhpat panthak yesterday. The electricity went out as soon as the normal showers started. Due to which people had to face a lot of trouble. Yogendrasinh Rana from Narayan Sarovar said that there is no electricity in the pilgrimage site since yesterday afternoon. Electricity scams continue every year during the monsoon. Power supply was disrupted in 30 villages including Narayan Sarovar, Kapurashi, Koteshwar, Koriyani, Cher Moti, Cher Nani, Lakhpat, Pipar. Giving details about this, a GETCO official said that the power infrastructure was damaged due to heavy winds and rain. Currently, repairs are underway at Nani Cher and Siyot sub-stations. He said that power supply will be restored after the work is completed by the evening. As power supply was disrupted since yesterday afternoon, the residents of Lakhpat taluka tried to contact the PGVCL officials with pity. But the mobile phones of the responsible officials were switched off. Kapurashi leader Hareshbhai Dave said that power problems have arisen in thirty villages including the pilgrimage site of Lakhpat, Narayan Sarovar and Koteshwar. Not only in border talukas like Lakhpat and Abdasa, but also in the district headquarters Bhuj and Gandhidham metropolis, power problems have come with the onset of rain. As soon as the rains begin, complaints of power outages and voltage fluctuations were raised in various areas. Despite the work done by the system during the pre-monsoon work, including maintenance of transformers, many complaints were raised about power outages during the rains. Apart from Bhuj, in rural areas including Madhapar, Bhujodi, power supply was disrupted in some areas as usual as soon as the rains started. Power supply was restored after a long time after the rains stopped. It is worth noting that the power system carries out pre-monsoon work every year before the onset of monsoon. But as soon as the monsoon begins, power outages start. Last February, local vigilantes informed the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, Shaktisinh Gohil, about the power problems of Lakhpat taluka. Shri Gohil presented a proposal to the Chief Minister of the state for a permanent solution to the problem of frequent power outages in Lakhpat. Work was done to replace the dilapidated conductors in the 66 KV Dayapar, Siyot, and Nani Cher lines by Getco, but at the beginning of the monsoon, the electricity traders remained the same in the rural areas of Lakhpat taluka. Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that recently the Energy Minister made a statement that a facility like 108 would be provided to solve the power problem in the state. Just as if you call 108 in an emergency, an ambulance will arrive immediately. Similarly, if the electricity goes out, the customers will get a facility like 108. However, if we look at the current situation, despite the presence of PGVCL’s head office in Bhuj and all kinds of staff and facilities, if the light goes out, the power supply is good for hours, but the helpline number does not get a satisfactory answer. On the one hand, the government claims green energy and developed Gujarat. The world’s largest green energy and solar energy plant is in Kutch. Electricity is obtained through hundreds of windmills and is sold to other regions. However, there are complaints that the people of Kutch do not get the right amount of electricity supply even though they pay their electricity bills on time like the boys in the house ring the bell. Trouble due to electricity traders in Viaor Naliya: As soon as the first rain of the monsoon season fell, the power supply in Viaor village of Abdasa was stopped overnight. Recently, the electricity system in Viaor village carried out pre-monsoon work for three days, but the work was hampered by the first rain. Jadeja Kishore Singh, an alert citizen of the village, demanded an investigation into the pre-monsoon work done by the administration.
