Rain in Ahmedabad: After scorching heat and unbearable storms, the eagerly awaited monsoon season has arrived in Gujarat with a bang. Thunderstorms lashed 221 talukas of Gujarat. In which Meghraja’s thunderous batting was seen in the district including Ahmedabad city. Two and a half inches of rain was recorded between 8 and 10 am this morning. After three hours of torrential rain on Monday evening, most areas of Ahmedabad were witnessing rainy weather this morning. Areas including Chandkheda, Gota, Thaltej, Prahladnagar, Bopal, Makarba, Vejalpur, Sarkhej, SG have seen drizzle and heavy rain. Due to the rain, water was filled in many places in Ahmedabad city. People who had left for office early in the morning were stuck due to the rain. Ahmedabad city has received an average of 2 inches of rain in the last 24 hours.
