Many big celebrities are being questioned in the online betting case. According to information received from ED sources, the ED questioned former Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina. Along with this, Bollywood actors Sonu Sood and Urvashi Rautela are also being questioned in this matter. The reason why the ED is currently questioning these celebs is that why are the apps that have been banned being promoted? These applications include One Bet, Fair Play and Mahadev online betting platforms. A few days ago, the ED in Kolkata had busted a big online bookie and money laundering racket under the Money Laundering Act. To expose this racket, search operations were conducted at several places in West Bengal, Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Assam. During this operation, a large number of electronic devices and suspicious documents were seized. According to the information received, during this operation, ED has frozen 766 bank accounts and 17 debit and credit cards. These accounts were being used for money transactions related to illegal betting. ED arrested two accused named Vishal Bhardwaj and Sonu Kumar Thakur under PMLA. Both were produced before a special court in Kolkata, from where they were sent to 10-day custody.
