According to a report by CNBC Awaaz, from the month of November you will not have to go to the Aadhaar center to get any kind of update in your Aadhaar card. You will be able to update your Aadhaar from home through a new app. After the new rule comes into effect, you will be able to update your Aadhaar card from home. The biggest advantage of this will be that you will not have to go to the Aadhaar center to update your Aadhaar card and you will not have to stand in lines. In fact, the Aadhaar card will be linked to all databases by November. The database will be linked to birth certificate, driving license, passport. Any details in the Aadhaar card will be updated only through the BVBH. Currently, 2,000 machines are connected to the new database. 98,000 machines will be connected by November. Aadhaar card holders will only have to go to the Aadhaar center for biometrics or IRIS scan.
