Corona cases are continuously increasing in the country. The number of people who have lost their lives due to Corona has reached 108. In the last 24 hours, 11 Corona positive people have died. This is the highest number of deaths in a single day. Seven deaths have occurred in Kerala. While Delhi, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh have reported one death each. According to the data released by the government, all the seven people who lost their lives due to Corona in Kerala were above 60 years of age. Apart from Corona, they were suffering from diseases like cancer, kidney and pneumonia. After January 1, 2025, Kerala has recorded the highest number of 35 deaths due to Corona. While a 67-year-old Corona positive patient lost his life in Delhi, he also had lung cancer. Senior officials of the Health Ministry say that most of the people who died due to Corona had diseases like cancer, kidney disease and heart. Talking about active cases of Corona in the country, Kerala has the highest number of 1,920 Corona positive patients. This is followed by Gujarat with 1,433, Delhi with 649 and Maharashtra with 540 active cases. Talking about new cases, a total of 119 new cases were reported in the country on Monday (June 16). Kerala reported the highest number of 87 cases. After that, Maharashtra reported 38 new cases. Uttar Pradesh reported 37 and Delhi reported 33 new cases. Rajasthan also reported 30 new cases of Corona.
