No candidate for 286 members and one sarpanch seat in 198 panchayats

Not a single candidature has been registered for the 286 member seats and one sarpanch seat in the 198 Gram Panchayats of the district. Most of these seats are reserved for tribals and scheduled castes. 24 seats of 20 Panchayats in Nadiad taluka, 25 seats of 17 Panchayats in Matar taluka and 29 seats of 16 Panchayats in Kheda taluka remain vacant. There are no candidatures on 30 seats of 24 Panchayats in Mehmadabad taluka and 29 seats of 16 Panchayats in Mahudha taluka. There are no candidates in 21 seats of 17 panchayats in Kathlal taluka. In Kapadvanj taluka, there are no candidates for the maximum 45 member seats of 36 panchayats and one sarpanch seat. In Thasra taluka, 45 seats of 28 panchayats, 21 seats of 13 panchayats in Galteshwar taluka and 17 seats of 14 panchayats in Vaso taluka remain vacant.
