ADI’s decision to ban construction of multi-storey buildings around Ram temple in Ayodhya

The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) in Uttar Pradesh has banned the construction of tall buildings around the Ram Temple under Master Plan-2031. This decision has been taken by the ADA to preserve the beauty and spiritual sanctity of the Ram Temple. Ramlala was consecrated in the Ram Temple in Ayodhya in January 2022. Since then, work has been going on continuously on the area of the temple construction and other projects. According to the ADA, the area around the Ram Temple has been declared prohibited regarding the Master Plan-2031. While the construction of large buildings near the temple has been banned, the ADA has also started putting up notice boards at many places in Ayodhya. In which the new rules have been clearly shown and a warning has also been issued regarding unauthorized construction. ADA Vice President Ashwini Pandey said, ‘The new rules announced have fixed the height limit of the building near the temple. In which the height of the building in the first two-kilometer radius will be allowed only 7 meters and in the second four-kilometer radius, the height will be 15 meters.’ He further said, ‘The aim of this decision is to ensure that the view of the Ram temple remains uninterrupted and the development around it is in keeping with the spiritual and cultural importance of the holy site.’
