Air India plane crashes in Meghaninagar, Ahmedabad, incident takes place at Gujsel Airport

An Air India plane bound for London from Ahmedabad crashed while taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Meghaninagar, Ahmedabad. According to initial reports, the incident took place in the IGB compound near Ghoda Camp in Meghaninagar area. On receiving information about the incident, three fire brigade vehicles and a police convoy reached the spot. During this, smoke could be seen from a distance, spreading fear among the nearby residents. Meanwhile, an emergency response team has reached the spot immediately to help the injured. Many injured are being shifted to the civil hospital. It is being reported that there are 133 passengers on board the plane. Considering the seriousness of the incident, police and army personnel have also reached for rescue work. According to initial investigation, the incident occurred when the rear part of the plane hit a tree during take-off.
