Gas line breaks in Bakrol, 450 homes unable to cook as supply remains off for 6 hours

In the Bakrol area of Anand, the gas line was damaged twice on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning while the MGVCL was digging to lay an underground power line. As the gas supply was stopped from 10 am to 3 pm on Wednesday, more than 450 households could not cook for lunch. These families had to order food from hotels. During the underground excavation by the MGVCL in the Bakrol back land area of Anand, a puncture occurred in the gas line, causing gas leakage. Due to which the Charotar Gas Company was informed and the supply was stopped and repairs were carried out. However, more than 450 residents had to face a lot of trouble in the afternoon as the gas supply remained closed for 6 hours. The gas supply was restored at 3 pm after the line was repaired. While the gas line was being repaired in Bakrol, the gas line leaked while the power company was digging in Vidyanagar GIDC.
