Chandigarh Farmer News: A farmer has started the construction of a wall on a state highway in Haryana. Due to which traffic had to be diverted and people were forced to exit through the fields. This case is about the state highway connecting Kurukshetra to Pahowa. Farmer Balwinder Singh and his family have started the construction of a wall on the state highway. When motorists reached this area, they came to know that the state highway was closed and laborers were building a wall there. The people who started the work of building the wall told the passengers that this land is ours and if you want to go further, you will have to go through the fields. A large number of bikes and other vehicles passed through the fields. However, heavy vehicles remained parked there, due to which traffic jam occurred. On being informed about the incident, administrative officials also reached the spot. These officials tried to convince Balwinder and his family not to block the road. So Balwinder said that this land is ours and the government should give compensation. If compensation is not received, we will take possession of our land. The police have registered a case against five people of Balwinder Singh and some unknown persons at Pahowa police station. This case has been registered on the complaint of the SDO of the Public Works Department. The complaint states that the road has been closed without giving any information to the district administration. Due to which the people’s problems have increased. Despite several requests, the road was not opened. No one has been arrested in this case so far. The court said in 2013 that the government should return the land or give compensation. However, when the government did not pay compensation, the petitioner applied to the court again in 2018. After that, the government gave compensation of Rs 5.5 lakh, but according to Balwinder Singh, this amount is very little.
