India is a hot region. In summer, the temperature in many parts of the country exceeds 40 degrees. AC is an easy way to escape the unbearable heat. Most Indians keep the AC temperature as low as 16 to 20 degrees. However, this will not be possible now, as the Government of India is bringing a rule in which the temperature of AC cannot be set below 20 degrees and above 28 degrees. Former Haryana Chief Minister and current Union Home and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, while addressing a press conference on Tuesday, said, “A new provision regarding air conditioning standards is being implemented soon. The temperature standard for AC will be set between 20 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius, which means that we will not be able to set the temperature below 20 degrees Celsius and above 28 degrees Celsius.” This announcement has been made as part of the government’s Vision 2047 outline.
