Gujarat Visa Fraud Surges: After Canada tightened its visa policy for the last three years, in the six months since Trump came to power, visa fraud cases committed by various agents have doubled in Gujarat, with visa rules becoming stricter every day. Since March 2022, 114 arrests have been made under various crimes in police cases of visa fraud. This is 113% more than usual. In the post-Corona phase of 2022-2023, 29% of the fraud cases were reported from various areas of Gujarat. 203 agents arrested in the last one and a half years There are many complaints like foreign travel by unregistered agents, agent’s involvement in the process of going abroad using fake passports or documents, charging students higher fees by giving information about fake or ghost universities, and fraud in services other than visas. In the last one and a half years, 203 agents have been arrested for various visas related to foreign travel. This includes visa fraud, passport fraud, and illegal migration.
