On the second Monday of the month of Shravan, a huge crowd of devotees gathered in Shiva temples across the district in Thana Kalan area of Shahjahanpur. In order to take stock of the security arrangements, Superintendent of Police Shahjahanpur inspected the famous Patna Devkali temple located in Thana Kalan area and also duly performed Puja-Archana. During the inspection, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), Additional Superintendent of Police (City), Circle Officer Jalalabad and Circle Officer Trainee were also present with him. The officers thoroughly reviewed the security arrangements, crowd control, CCTV surveillance, barricading and entry-exit routes of the temple premises. During this, necessary guidelines were given to the policemen posted in the temple premises and information about the arrangements was also obtained by communicating with the temple management committee and priests. After the inspection, all the officers duly worshipped Shiva and wished for peace, prosperity and harmony in the district. The police administration has appealed to all the devotees to maintain restraint, discipline and cooperation at religious places. They were also requested to contact the police immediately for any kind of information or assistance.
