Jeep loaded with passengers falls into deep gorge in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand: 8 people killed

A major accident took place in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district on Monday, in which 8 people died. While 3 people were seriously injured. The accident took place near Bhandari village near Muwani. Where a jeep full of passengers fell into a deep gorge. According to the details received, the jeep was going from Muwani to Bokata. As soon as the information about the accident was received, a police team reached the spot and relief and rescue work is underway. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. The administration is investigating the accident. The reasons for the Bolero car falling into the gorge are also being investigated. The police have gone to the spot and taken the bodies into custody. The police said that the accident was so severe that the vehicle was torn to pieces. The identification of the people killed in the accident is being done. Earlier in April 2024, four people, including two brothers, died and four were injured when a Bolero fell into a 200-meter deep gorge in Pithoragarh’s Ancholi Vistara. In June 2023, ten pilgrims died when a Bolero fell into a deep gorge in the Sama Hokra area of Pithoragarh district.
