The tradition of various festivals like Kutch Ranotsav, Navratri Mahotsav, International Kite Festival and Kankaria Carnival started in Gujarat by the then Chief Minister and current Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has now spread to every city and region, as a result of which Gujarat has gained a prominent global recognition in the tourism sector. To further this tradition, like every year, this year too, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the ‘Saputara Monsoon Festival-2025’ at Hill Station, Saputara on July 26 at 9 am. In which Tourism Minister Shri Mulubhai Bera and Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Kunwarjibhai Halpati and other distinguished guests will be specially present. On the first day of this colorful festival, which will be held from July 26 to August 17, 2025, for a total of 23 days, a grand ‘Folk Carnival Parade’ will be held at 9.00 am on the theme ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ by 354 artists from 13 states including Gujarat. Which will include Lavani folk dance & Dhangari Gaja from Maharashtra, Bhangra from Punjab, Kalbeliya folk dance from Rajasthan, Chhau dance from West Bengal, Bihu dance from Assam, Badhai folk dance from Madhya Pradesh, Gussadi dance from Telangana, Pujakunitha from Karnataka, Nati from Himachal Pradesh, Dhamal dance from Haryana, Dangi folk dance from Gujarat, Chhatri Hoodo, Rathwa dance, Sidi Dhamal, Talwar Raas, Dobru-Kircha, Garba, Bavan Beda, Dangi-Kahadi dance, Mewasi dance and various folk carnival props & properties such as Lok Melo Mota Kavdi, Jumping Kavdi, Big Puppets, Ladakh Mask, Snow Lion (Leh), Wings, Face Mask, traditional and attractive props. Along with this, a tableau giving information about “Operation Sindoor” carried out by India will also be displayed. The tradition of various festivals in the state is ‘Saputara Monsoon Festival’. With the noble aim of allowing tourists coming from various provinces to enjoy the taste of tribal culture, tradition and cuisine in the proximity of nature during the rainy season, as well as creating new employment at the local level, this year too, like every year, the Tourism Department of the Government of Gujarat has organized a grand Monsoon Festival 2025, in which tourists have been requested to participate in large numbers by the Gujarat Tourism Department.
