Kanpur, today a meeting of the Divyang Mahagathbandhan was held. In the meeting, an agreement was reached with the government on March 18 and May 7 regarding the demands. The minutes of the agreement were also released. But the government did not appoint Lekhpal and Main Sevika candidates, regularize seasonal Amins. The government did not give a hundred percent guarantee of employment, health, education and security, the government did not give a pension of five thousand rupees to the disabled. The government did not follow the agreement. There is anger among the disabled organizations and the disabled people about this.
General Secretary of the Mahagathbandhan Virendra Kumar said that the government is cheating the disabled people. The disabled are committing suicide due to lack of employment, the government has become a mute spectator. Bureaucracy is dominant in Uttar Pradesh. There is no one to listen to the disabled people. The disabled people are troubled by fake assurances and announcements.
He said that if the government does not give jobs to Lekhpal, Main Sevika candidates and regularize seasonal Amins before July 29. If the government does not give 100% guarantee of jobs, health, education and security to the handicapped and does not provide pension of Rs 5000 per month, then on 30th July thousands of handicapped people of Uttar Pradesh will surround the Chief Minister’s office and the Vidhansabha. Virendra Kumar said that we will not let the handicapped people die; we will fight till our last breath. Today’s meeting was attended by General Secretary of the Grand Alliance Virendra Kumar, spokesperson Anand Tiwari, District President Rahul Kumar, President of the Women’s Front Alpana Kumari, Guddi Dixit, Vaibhav Dixit, Gaurav Kumar, Ranjeet Singh, Gomti Verma, Sarla, etc.
