Fatehpur. On the second Monday of Sawan, devotees kept fast and prayed to Lord Shiva in temples, praying to him according to rituals and wished for happiness and prosperity. Crowds of devotees started gathering in various Shiva temples of the district from dawn. Devotees also took a holy dip in the Ganga.
On the second Monday of Sawan, devotees also performed worship after performing Jalabhishek and Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva in Shiva temples. Devotees gathered from morning to night for worship at Shiva temples across the district. Attractive decoration of Lord Mahadev was also done in many Shiva temples of the city, Rudrabhishek was organized. Every corner of the city resonated with the chanting of Bam-Bam Bhole. Devotees started arriving at the Tambeshwar temple of the city from dawn. Devotees also performed worship along with Jalabhishek of Lord Mahadev. Apart from this, fruits, flowers, Belpatra, Belphal, Dhatura, Aakpushp, Bhang and incense were also offered. On the second Monday of Sawan, people kept fast and also chanted Shiv Chalisa, Shiv Rudrashtak and other mantras by doing pooja recitation at homes. Similarly, Jalabhishek was organized at Gudheshwar temple of Chandpur and Bhandara was organized at Thaveshwar temple of Bahua area. In which devotees took prasad. Rudrabhishek program was organized from homes to various Shiv temples. In view of the crowd in Sawan, the police administration remained alert from the point of view of security.

Kanwadis arrived singing Shiv songs
On the second Monday of Sawan, the group of Kanwadis reached the Shiva temples dancing and singing slogans of Shiv Bhole, Bam Bam Bhole, Har Har Mahadev to perform Jalabhishek of Mahadev with Ganga water. Devotees reached Ganga Ghats
On the second Monday of Shravan month, a huge crowd of devotees gathered for Ganga bath at various Ganga banks of the district. The process of devotees coming to Ganga banks started from the morning itself. During this, devotees offered prayers by performing Jalabhishek in Shiva temples on the banks of the ghat. From the city to the ancient Shiva temples in rural areas, the entire atmosphere became devotional with the chanting of Har-Har Mahadev by the devotees.
