On the Morbi-Kutch highway, from the bridge of Haripar village, Maliya (Min) police have seized a total of Rs 8,91,440/- worth of small and large bottles of different brands loaded in a Creta vehicle, No. 242, beer tin No. 242, mobile phone and car. Based on the information received while the staff of Maliya Minyana Police Station was on night patrol, a Creta car with registration number GJ-09-BN-3021 was coming from Halvad with a quantity of English liquor in it and was going towards Kutch. Based on the specific information, the vehicles were blocked on the highway road near the bridge landing road of Haripar village and during the vehicle checking, the driver of the car with the information saw the blocked vehicles on the road and fled, leaving the car behind. The Creta car with registration number GJ-09-BN-3021 was carrying small and large bottles of foreign liquor worth Rs. 242. 2,65,000/- and beer tin worth Rs. 1,21,440/- and a mobile phone and a Creta car worth a total of Rs. 8,91,440/- were seized. A case has been registered under the Prohibition Act and further action has been taken to arrest the accused who fled after abandoning the car.
