District Magistrate gave instructions for compliance of rules, prompt disposal and installation of information boards Kanpur Nagar, A meeting of the appropriate authority PCPNDT, Kanpur Nagar under the Preconception and Prenatal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994 was held in the new auditorium of the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh. The members nominated under the Act were present in the meeting. The District Magistrate reviewed the applications received in the meeting related to registration, renewal, change of site, addition of doctor and machine. On the basis of the joint inspection report of the nominated magistrate and the concerned doctors, after case-wise discussions, recommendations were given in various applications and action was taken to issue notices in some cases. A total of 12 applications for new registration were presented in the meeting, out of which 8 were recommended. Out of the 14 applications received for renewal, 11 were approved and notices were issued on 3. Out of the 2 applications for change of site, 1 was recommended. Approval was given to 2 applications received for adding doctors, while all the 6 applications for adding machines were approved. The district magistrate directed the Chief Medical Officer to submit a detailed report on how many medical institutions have been taken action against in cases of violation of rules under the PCPNDT Act in the last three years.
