Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) has released its business update for the month of June and the first quarter of FY26. In June 2025, Adani Ports handled 41.3 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo volume, a 12 percent growth over the previous year. The increase was primarily due to a 15 percent increase in container cargo, the Adani group company said in a stock exchange filing. The company’s total cargo volume stood at 120.6 million tonnes in the quarter ended June 30, 2025, up 11% from the year-ago period. Container volume remained the main driver of growth, growing by 19% during the quarter over the previous year, with Mundra Port alone contributing the most by handling 48 million tonnes of cargo. In the logistics segment, Adani Ports recorded a rail volume of 62,146 TEUs in June 2025, up 14% over the previous year. General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme (GPWIS) volume reached 2.21 MMT, up 18% over the previous year. During the April-June 2025 quarter, logistics rail volume was 1,79,479 TEUs, up 15% over the previous financial year. TEUs volume for the same period was 6.05 MMT, up nine per cent from the year-ago period. Earlier in May, Adani Ports had reported a net profit of Rs. 3,014.22 crore for the fiscal fourth quarter, up 47.78 per cent from Rs. 2,039.66 crore reported during the same quarter of FY24. Revenue from operations rose 23.08 per cent to Rs. 8,488.44 crore.
