In this regard, this year the Conservator of Forests’ Office, Gandhinagar has issued a notification and all the sanctuaries have been closed for tourists. Recently, the Gujarat Government has issued a notification in accordance with the letter dated 10-06-2025 of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests’ Office, Gandhinagar. In which it has been mentioned that from June 16, 2025 to October 15, 2025, all the sanctuaries in Gujarat will be closed for tourists. He added further that this period is the breeding season (mating) for many species of mammals, birds, reptiles, etc., and considering the possibility of disruption, tourists have been banned from entering all sanctuaries and national parks in Gujarat. Tourists will be allowed to visit the above places after October 16, 2025. Hence, the Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary at Sanand will also be closed for 120 days.
