In the first four days of the holy Amarnath Yatra, more than 50 thousand pilgrims have had darshan of the snow Shivalinga in the holy cave. This annual yatra began on July 3. On the fourth day, Sunday, 21,512 pilgrims arrived for darshan. On the other hand, the fifth batch of 7502 pilgrims left Jammu for Nunwan in Pahalgam and Baltal base camp in Ganderbal, Kashmir, amidst rains. This batch includes 5,973 men, 1,169 women, 34 children, 310 sadhus and 16 sadhus. It is worth mentioning that this 38-day yatra is going on from both Pahalgam and Baltal routes. This yatra will conclude on the day of Raksha Bandhan on August 9. Last year, this yatra lasted for fifty-two days and five lakh pilgrims had darshan of the holy cave. So far, more than 3.5 lakh pilgrims have registered. For registration, centres have been opened in Jammu at Saraswati Dham, Vaishnavi Dham, Panchayat Bhawan and Mahajan Sabha. Registration of 2000 pilgrims continues here every day.
