Amarnath Yatra: LG Manoj Sinha gives green signal, this time Gujarati pilgrims see a decrease

People are leaving Jammu for the Amarnath Yatra today. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has flagged off the yatra from Bhagwati Nagar base camp. The pilgrims will reach the Kashmir Valley in the afternoon, however, the journey of most people will begin from tomorrow. This 38-day long yatra will be carried out through both Pahalgam and Balatal routes. Security has been increased on routes including the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44). The yatra will conclude on August 9, the day of Raksha Bandhan. The first batch of pilgrims has left Jammu for the Amarnath Yatra amid tight security arrangements. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has flagged off the first batch from the pilgrim residence Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who participated in the ‘Tawi Aarti’ at the Tawi riverfront in Jammu, said on Tuesday that the entire world is watching the Amarnath Yatra today and no danger can shake the faith of the devotees. LG Sinha claimed that this year’s Amarnath Yatra will be more historic than all the previous years and for him it is an opportunity to restore the ancient glory of Jammu and Kashmir.
