Amit Chavda is the new president of Gujarat Congress, Tushar Chaudhary has been made the leader of the Congress party in the assembly.

The Congress high command has appointed Amit Chavda as the new president of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee. Along with this, Tushar Chaudhary has been given the responsibility of the leader of the Congress party in the Gujarat Assembly. These changes are being seen as an exercise to make the Congress party stronger and more organized in view of the upcoming 2027 assembly elections. Amit Chavda is a familiar face of the Gujarat Congress and had earlier served as the state president from 2018 to 2021. It is hoped that his re-appointment as the state president will infuse positive energy in the party. Amit Chavda is in direct contact with the workers at the grassroots level and has deep experience of Gujarat politics. Under his leadership, the Congress party is expected to play an active role in strengthening the organization and addressing the issues of the people. It is worth mentioning that Geniben Thakor and Lalji Desai were also in the race for the state president.
