After the status of Anand Municipal Corporation was granted by the Urban Development Department of the State Government, Gandhinagar, now a notification has been published showing the number of wards and corporators. In this notification published by the Urban Development Department, Anand Municipal Corporation has been divided into 13 wards. Four per ward, a total of fifty-two (52) corporators will be elected. According to this notification, out of fifty-two (52) seats, out of the fifty-two (52) seats, two (02) seats will be reserved for Scheduled Caste persons, out of which one (1) seat will be reserved for Scheduled Caste women. Two (2) seats will be reserved for Scheduled Tribe persons, out of which one (1) seat will be reserved for Scheduled Tribe women. 14 seats will be reserved for Backward Class persons, out of which seven (07) seats will be reserved for Backward Class women. Twenty-six (26) seats will be reserved for women, including the seats for women belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes.
