Bhavnagar: On the occasion of the holy festival of Muharram of the Muslim community, about 130 artistic processions of Tazias were taken out in Bhavnagar city and district on the night of Saturday’s martyrdom in memory of the martyrs of Karbala. All the processions traveled on the local main roads all night on the regular route. On Sunday, the 10th of Muharram, on the day of Ashura, all the processions left their Takht (pad) late in the evening. The processions were completed on the regular route at ten o’clock. Devotees of Hindu and Muslim castes joined this procession in Bhavnagar city and district with faith and visited the Tazias and also offered prayers. At this time, an atmosphere of communal unity, brotherhood and unity was seen. Shabil-e-Hussain was made to distribute cold water, sharbat, milk, cold drinks and nyaz to the people on the route of the refreshment. In addition to 35 in Bhavnagar city, 4 in Vartej, 12 in Ghogha, 1 in Velavadar, 31 in Mahuva, 7 in Talaja, 4 in Mahuva rural, 3 in Khutwada, Bagdana, Palitana Town, Rural, Jesar, Gariyadhar, 5 in Sehore, 1 in Budhna, 3 in Vallabhipur, 4 in Umarala, a total of 127 main refreshment processions were taken out in the entire city and district.
