The Union Cabinet on Tuesday (July 1) approved several major schemes related to youth and infrastructure. The Union Cabinet has approved the Rozgar Protsahan Yojana, the benefits of which will be available in two phases. In the first phase, a maximum of Rs 15,000 will be given in two installments to first-time employees. These installments will be given in the sixth and 12th months of getting a job. Moreover, in the second phase, Rs 3000 will be given every month. The entire scheme will focus on promoting employment in the manufacturing sector. Addressing a press conference, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘The government will spend a total of Rs 1.07 lakh crore on this scheme.’ The objective of the Rozgar Protsahan Yojana is to create employment, increase employment opportunities and promote social security in all sectors. In which, special attention will be given to the manufacturing sector. Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘This decision was taken in the Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This scheme will encourage the creation of more than 3.5 crore jobs in the country in two years. Employers will also get incentives Additional employees who are getting jobs for the first time will be given an incentive of Rs 3000 per month for two years. Employers will be given incentives in relation to employees with salaries up to Rs one lakh. The incentives given to employers for the manufacturing sector can also be extended for the third and fourth years. Khelo India Policy approved The Union Cabinet has approved a total of four major schemes. The Union Cabinet has approved the entire ‘Khelo India Policy’. The National Sports Policy was implemented for the first time in 1948. After that, a new Sports Policy was announced in 2001. Now the Central Government will implement the Khelo India Policy 2025. Under which youth will be encouraged for sports. Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘Our aim is to include India in the top 5 countries in the world in terms of sports.’
